Blogger’s Note
I started blogging circa 2004. Apart from my slightly poor grammar skills then, my mind was very different at the time. And this cringy writing style went on for about 5ish more years. I threw away majority of my previous journal entries out of shame š . But some made it to the cut, like this one, just something to laugh at or roll eyes with.
Yesterday, I was partly sad because it was our last rehearsals already.
I really had fun with this band. And very thankful too because I was given the chance of a lifetime to perform onstage. With matching all the works ā rehearsals, tickets, etc. Though my role isnāt that sensational compared to the real vocalist, I am still proud to be the extra vocalist slash tambourine girl slash chuwariwariwap girl. I feel so happy listening to our 13-track CD, and gawd I could hear my voice! Itās ugly compared to the main vocalist. I sound so terrible in the CD! But I have this sick excuse of not being the professional singer⦠or the most popular line every time they tell me Iām out of tune ā āSumimasen, bando wa hajimete desu.ā ā not so correct japanese but I mean something like, āItās my first time to sing in a bandā. Hehehe. All the members are probably not professionals as well, since they are engineers like me too, but they are really good on what theyāre doing. I appreciate so much that they adjusted the music tempo and the pitch of my songs for me! Haay. Hot Stuff yeah!
I wanted to make the last rehearsals a little memorable so I took photos during our break. I couldnāt ask the other members to pose for me because I was so shy š

Iām with (1) Yumiko-san, the main vocalist. Her rendition of āLet it beā just makes me sway-sway in the background. I love it so much. I feel that Iām sleeping in the clouds; (2) Morisaki-san, the lead guitarist. During breaks, he plays with the drums. And I play with the electric guitars around because Iām dying to have one. So the rehearsal-break is my only chance to fantasize about the rock business!
The live date will be on Sunday at Roppongi. How time flies! Last time I remember, it was my welcome party when Aihara-buchou, my rocker boss, asked me to sing in their band, the scary song of Proud Mary. That was January. Four months later, shining moment arriving soon⦠š
