How I use AI for my Social Media Content

This blog has gone thru a lot of iterations. Apart from the look and feel, I even made an effort to go back to my 15+ year old posts and tried to "correct" them somehow (update the tone, revise the grammar, remove the "s" from stuffs and all other things). When ChatGPT came about, I felt great knowing that "someone" can actually do and revise stuff for me, make it look professional, finally! I have developed some methods, but I can't really tell you how effective these are because I don't use any kind of measurement, or get any profit from doing these things, except that it just feels good revisiting them down the line. After all, everything you see here are just.. Hobbies! ... Something I enjoy doing.

Alright there are about 3 categories here in my Social Media world - there's the Blog, Instagram/Facebook captions and YouTube.

Let me share with you first the "lazy" version: For the Blog, I write my raw thoughts in a Notepad. Then copy paste it to ChatGPT, with a prompt, "Refine this". I rarely get satisfactory results on the first generation of things - normally it sounds too "robotic" or too formal. It is a conversation so I would often follow it up with "make this less flowery or less formal". The second to next versions would look better, and more casual. I would often revise it some more to add a bit of my "personality", though I don't really know what that exactly is, I just know I did not want it to look so "AI". But know that it learns your style somehow, so the more you "talk" to it, it gets closer. Kinda scary but hey, that's the the world now ;)

The non-lazy version is writing things with enough consideration and effort for your grammar, sentence construction and all those things you learned in English. And pick those sentences that you can improve one by one, ask ChatGPT to "improve" or "rephrase" them. Decide for yourself if you wanna use it or not.

For Instagram and Facebook - I use ChatGPT a lot when I wanted to share more about the places we've traveled to. Make it more "attractive" somehow by words. For example, "Make an instagram caption about Bath, England; and share some notes like - I love the cobblestones, the old-town feel, etc.". It would normally give me 3 paragraphs of things it got from the internet lol, so I had to do another conversation of "make this more casual", and then go from there!

For YouTube, I haven't really done a lot but I did seek help for generating a YouTube title for my ASMR series. Plugging it in here btw ;)

Now, what do you think about this whole post? Is it the real me? Or is it ChatGPT?
