I started blogging circa 2004. Apart from my slightly poor grammar skills then, my mind was very different at the time. I threw away majority of my previous journal entries out of shame 😅 . But some made it to the cut, like this one, just something to laugh at or roll eyes with.

What you’re seeing now is still me, the fab and proud owner of www.pinakamaganda.net.  My site is undergoing a major overhaul so it will be a little unstable for two weeks. I’m giving it two weeks only to migrate all my entries. Wish me luck, I’m having a major headache now on this migration.

My hosting at Mobile Me (Apple’s web hosting service) will expire soon. I had my apprehensions about renewing the hosting there. Most of my loyal readers (aka friends) say that my site is too slow. Probably because of the graphics of my web tool or the hosting service. Apple loves these graphics. I love them too. But no matter what I did with the pictures, removal of scripts, links, etc… it’s still slow.

So I’m not renewing it anymore there, and that would also mean trashing *sniff*sniff* my web creator tool, iWeb (also by Apple). I’m migrating my hosting to a free web host service. As my most practical response to the global economic crisis, I’m not buying any hosting services yet, will be using the free 000webhost services instead. Good thing my domain is till December so I’m good with it. Regarding the web tool, I’m migrating to.. WORDPRESS! I’m still familiarizing myself though with this new platform. But so far… I like it!

Plus, I’m taking an oh so sweet plunge to the world of Web Design. I am thankful for this current design. It’s still Mac-ish 😀But later on I’ll be changing it to my own. Not sure though how soon will that be… Anyway web design was really my thing before I got into application development so I hope this kind-of fighting spirit will work. Will be creating my own banner soon. I have a lot to learn about Photoshop… *whew* lots of things to do.

I have a positive outlook for this new feel. Aside from my usual whines, pinakamaganda.net will house all my other stuff including beauty, travel and geeky projects.

Aside from the *hopefully* faster loading of my site, expect some more changes…
