Back to Traveling @ Magnolia Silos

The pandemic halted all things travel-related. When we got our vaccinations, we slowly crawled our ways back to travel normalcy and we thought that an overnight stay at Waco would be a good starting point.

We picked the Magnolia Silos as our baby step. It's just hours away from our home base. We could save ourselves from COVID anxiety attacks by not flying. Just like the majority of America, we've been huge fans of Joanna Gaines and Fixer Upper. We've been going to the Silos for quite sometime, and we always enjoy it. Joanna's / Magnolia blog is one of the blogs I've been stalking ever since they stood it up. We want to experience everything that the Magnolia ventures come up with, the Silos somehow provide that.

We stayed at Hotel Indigo, another first since the pandemic. We brought all the COVID things you need in an attempt to sanitize the room further. And yes, I attempted to steam the bed :D I liked the pops of color from the furniture in the lobby, and the moody feels of our room.

Considering that we went on a weekday (to avoid crowds), we thought we would have better chances at dining at the Magnolia Table. Before the pandemic, it was so hard to get a reservation. We finally were able to walk in!

There's that Joanna Gaines signature style in the interiors and exteriors of the place, but they kept the retro-ish style of the sign.

I'm loving all the details that they put into the utensils and dinnerware.

Most especially the food. The dishes are simple, but you can feel that there's so much love that was put in everything.
