Thoughts about Beauty Blogging

I learned a great deal about blogging throughout the years.Just to share a brief background about me: My creative mind has always been trying to be everywhere, and it has since became difficult to tame. There were times when I just dump everything that I'm thinking about online, without filtering nor editing.

My first Makeup Book

There are just too much ideas pouring in, but execution has been lacking, or poor. And then somehow when I outgrew my "bare-it-all" stage, I learned to manage and tame my execution a bit. Step 1 is really about focusing on one thing. I had to stray away from blogging about "life" in general because it is just a very broad subject. Sure, there are moments but I just can't concentrate on a big topic. I also have to tone down on all my other hobbies and again, focus on one. I think it is a pretty obvious choice given the heart and investment I already put in it. Sometimes it's a bit discouraging to start one though because, why would I when they are already out there everywhere? Like, google "Beauty Blog" and you'll see a lot of resources and people from all over the world - from blogs to vlogs to shows, etc. There are plenty.

I have to ask myself what is the purpose of this thing that I am starting anyway?I initially thought that I would instantly relate to the Corporate Workforce who are trying to "pursue vanity". But, I think the subject is a little difficult to maintain, and I felt some pressure there. Then I dug in a little deeper and found that phase in my adult life when I was afraid to apply a lipstick, or even touch a makeup brush. Sounds dark eh? :D So, I want to make a connection and share my story. Maybe help people along the way, who once, like me, struggled to achieve a little vanity in life. I guess I'll start from there. Then let's see where the wind would take me.

Edit: Nope, it didn’t take off. ;)
